Prepare Your Home to Sell

Prepare Your Home to Sell

Prepare your home for sale:

What do we do when we want to sell our old car?  We clean it, shine it, and make it look as good as possible.  The same should be done for your home.  One of the most annoying things to do is to de-clutter the home.  We are all at fault.  Please consider this fact, you place your home on the market with intent to move, therefore, de-cluttering now will make it easier for you at moving time and easier for the buyer to see your home.

If you have repairs to do that you have been putting off, now is the time to take care of them.  Please keep in mind that painting is the least expensive and the best way to improve a home.  Our goal is to suggest items to repair/remodel/upgrade only when necessary and if the return will be clearly beneficial to the sale of the home.

When you live in a home for a while, you are used to the way your home is set up.  We may suggest ways to place furniture around to create an easier flow and to make the home appear larger.

Curb Appeal:

The home must be attractive from the outside to invite buyers to view the inside.  Attention to the yard and front entry is crucial.  Sometimes, by placing a few potted plants at the front door will help, along with a fresh coat of paint on the front door.  Let’s face it, if the home doesn’t look inviting from the outside, chances are buyers will come inside with the wrong frame of mind.
